MOLL-MOTOR supplies industrial electric motors in series quantities to machine builders, industrial companies, system integrators, maintenance organizations and resellers throughout Europe.
From our warehouse and workshop in Stockerau near Vienna, we combine extensive stocks of IEC electric motors with technical advice, customer-specific modifications and scheduled deliveries. In 2025, MOLL-MOTOR delivered more than 55,000 three-phase motors, equivalent to approximately 220 motors per working day.
Our objective is not simply to deliver a large number of motors. We provide a reliable supply concept that keeps machines, production lines and customer projects running.
High quantities require more than a competitive unit price
Companies searching for an electric motor high quantity distributor usually need more than a trader with a long product list.
When dozens, hundreds or several thousand motors are required, purchasing decisions also depend on consistent technical specifications, reliable delivery dates, repeatable quality, suitable packaging and clearly defined replacement options.
MOLL-MOTOR supports customers with both individual large orders and recurring requirements. Depending on the project, we can arrange framework agreements, reserve buffer stock and organize scheduled call-off deliveries.
This provides customers with a reliable supply while reducing the amount of stock they need to hold at their own facilities.
More than 50,000 electric motors in stock
Our warehouse in Stockerau holds more than 50,000 electric motors. Around 15,000 motors are normally available for immediate dispatch.
The portfolio includes:
- Three-phase asynchronous motors
- IEC standard motors
- Aluminium and cast-iron motors
- Brake motors
- Explosion-protected motors
- Single-phase motors
- Pole-changing motors
- Motors for frequency inverter operation
- Energy-efficient IE3 and IE4 motors
- Customer-specific and application-specific designs
Standard three-phase motors cover a power range from approximately 0.06 kW to 355 kW. Common speeds, pole numbers, frame sizes and mounting arrangements are available from stock or can be configured in our workshop.
Our product portfolio includes MOLL-MOTOR Series Y motors as well as products from established manufacturers and partners such as Innomotics, MGM, Bonfiglioli and other qualified suppliers.
This multi-brand approach allows us to select a motor according to the technical requirement, required quantity, delivery schedule and commercial target of each project.
Series supply for OEMs and machine builders
Machine builders require electric motors that remain technically consistent over the full production period of a machine series.
MOLL-MOTOR supports OEM customers with recurring supply, annual demand planning and framework agreements. For suitable projects, an agreed quantity can be held as buffer stock and delivered in defined batches.
This arrangement offers several advantages:
- Short and predictable delivery times
- Reduced supply-chain risk
- Consistent motor specifications
- Defined replacement products
- Planned call-off quantities
- Customer-specific packaging
- Pre-assembled components
- Just-in-time delivery
Where appropriate, we can keep a substantial part of the customer’s annual requirement in stock. This is particularly useful for standard motors that are used across several machine models or production sites.
Our sales engineers work directly with purchasing departments, designers and production planners to establish a supply concept that is technically and commercially sustainable.
Framework agreements and buffer stock
A framework agreement can combine agreed product specifications, expected annual quantities, pricing principles, delivery batches and stock levels.
Buffer stock at MOLL-MOTOR helps customers respond to changes in production volume without maintaining the full reserve at their own site. It also provides additional security when international production and transport lead times become less predictable.
Depending on the agreement, motors can be delivered as individual call-offs, complete production batches or scheduled quantities over a defined period.
For resellers and distributors, we can also provide neutral or customer-specific packaging arrangements where technically and commercially appropriate.
Motor modifications in our own workshop
High-volume supply does not always mean supplying an unchanged standard motor.
A standard IEC motor is often the starting point for a customer-specific version. Our workshop in Stockerau can perform many modifications before dispatch, including:
- Changing the mounting arrangement
- Installing flanges or motor feet
- Fitting brake assemblies
- Installing PTC thermistors, PTO contacts or PT100 sensors
- Changing the terminal-box position
- Adapting the degree of protection
- Installing special bearings
- Preparing motors for frequency inverter operation
- Fitting external fans or rain canopies
- Applying customer-specific paint systems
- Installing condensation drain holes
- Preparing special shaft or flange arrangements
- Combining motors with gearboxes, couplings or other drive components
These capabilities allow customers to obtain a ready-to-install motor without coordinating several external suppliers.
For recurring requirements, an approved modified design can be documented and reproduced for subsequent delivery batches.
Technical motor selection and replacement
For a reliable quotation, the motor must be defined by its technical function rather than by brand name alone.
The most important information includes:
- Rated power in kW
- Voltage and frequency
- Rated speed or pole number
- IEC frame size
- Mounting arrangement
- Shaft and flange dimensions
- Efficiency class
- Degree of protection
- Duty type
- Ambient conditions
- Required quantity
- Annual demand
- Planned delivery schedule
For replacement projects, a photograph of the nameplate and the complete motor is often sufficient for an initial assessment.
Because many industrial motors follow IEC dimensions, a motor from one manufacturer can frequently be replaced by a suitable motor from another manufacturer. Our engineers check the mechanical and electrical details and identify any necessary modifications.
European supply from Stockerau near Vienna
MOLL-MOTOR supplies customers in Austria, Germany and other European markets from its central warehouse in Stockerau.
The location near Vienna provides good access to Central, Southern and Eastern Europe. Standard products can be dispatched quickly, while recurring series deliveries can be scheduled according to the customer’s production plan.
For urgent replacement requirements, available motors can be selected, modified and prepared for express dispatch. For planned series business, fixed delivery dates and call-off quantities can be agreed in advance.
Our combination of warehousing, technical sales, workshop capabilities and logistics makes MOLL-MOTOR a practical alternative to both small local traders and manufacturers with long production lead times.
A value-added electric motor distributor
MOLL-MOTOR is a distributor, but our role goes beyond forwarding orders to a manufacturer.
Our customers have direct access to experienced sales engineers and mechatronics specialists. Questions concerning mounting dimensions, efficiency, motor protection, frequency inverter operation or mechanical modifications can be clarified directly with the people responsible for selecting and preparing the motor.
As a multi-brand distributor, we are not restricted to one manufacturer’s product range. We can compare technically suitable alternatives and recommend the solution that offers the best balance of availability, quality, technical performance and total cost.
This is especially important in high-volume projects, where even a small technical or logistical improvement can have a significant effect over the full order quantity.
