AIG ‘Aktionstag’ 2025 – What MOLL-MOTOR has in common with agriculture

On 17 May 2025, the annual ‘Aktionstag’ of the Agrar Informationsgemeinschaft (AIG) took place in Weistrach – a traditional farmers’ purchasing association with over 1,800 members from the area of Haag and Amstetten in Lower Austria’s Mostviertel region. MOLL-MOTOR was there with its own information stand and presented proven technology for agricultural use with its own PTO emergency power generator (“Zapfi”).

AIG is one of many farmers’ purchasing groups and works closely with groups from the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria and the Ennstal in Styria – each with around 500 members. These partnership structures give farmers access to high-quality drive components at attractive conditions.

In addition to PTO units, farmers purchase robust IEC standard motors, powerful circular saw motors and durable geared motors, as well as frequency inverters and V-belt pulleys with taper lock bushes from MOLL-MOTOR. Accessories and lubricants also met with great interest at the action day.

The event was accompanied by AIG’s senior managers Franz Gründling, Franz Gerstmayr and Stefan Nürnberger. In addition to the technical discussions and practical offers – such as taking back old starter batteries – there was also plenty of entertainment: valuable prices and practical promotional gifts provided by the exhibiting companies were raffled off in the tombola.

MOLL-MOTOR was invited to exhibit on the campaign day thanks to its 30-year cooperation with AIG. In the past, joint discount campaigns have always been implemented.

Electric drive technology – the backbone of modern agriculture

Electric drives have become an integral part of everyday life in agriculture: from feed mixers to milking systems, from conveyor belts to wood chip furnaces – IEC standard motors and geared motors from MOLL-MOTOR are used wherever reliability and energy efficiency are required. Agricultural drives tend to be required in the lower power range, starting at 0.09kW (90W) up to around 11kW. Even unusual outputs, such as 9.2kW or 9.5kW, or 4/8-pole pole-changing motors, have already been supplied to farmers through AIG from MOLL-MOTOR.

Our customers particularly appreciate the long service life and rapid availability. Many replacement motors, including those with unusual outputs and speeds, can be called up directly from the Stockerau warehouse – individual adaptations are often possible for more complicated designs, as well as standard modifications such as the addition of a brake or an increase in the protection class. In combination with frequency inverters, our solutions enable speed-controlled processes, e.g. for drying, pumping or silo ventilation.

Particularly in remote regions, the Zapfi (short for power take-off unit) ensures a reliable power supply in the event of a power failure – a decisive factor for farms with automated processes or sensitive barn technology.
