In October 2024, our sales team came across a challenging request during a visit from a customer in the ventilation technology sector: motors needed to be adapted to fit inside pipes – a challenge that initially called for custom-made products due to the narrow diameters. However, the many years of experience of the MOLL-MOTOR sales team and the extensive portfolio of brands and motor series provided the basis for quickly finding a better and simpler solution.
The sales team identified the customer’s specific requirements during the personal visit on site and was able to recognize the potential of suitable standard motors immediately. The decisive factor was the experience with comparable projects. Then they checked together with the technical department which available series motors from the various manufacturers could fit into the pipes. At the same time, the costs for the necessary adaptations were agreed. This laid the foundation for a quick quotation.
Efficient coordination and rapid implementation
The customer’s concrete inquiry, including a short delivery time, reached the sales team a few days after the on-site meeting. Thanks to the prepared documentation and the close cooperation between sales, technology and the workshop, the quotation, including 3D models and data sheets, was prepared and sent within a few hours.
A special proof of the team’s flexibility: even during a business trip, technical drawings were finalized and queries were clarified between the departments so that the process will not be delayed. Within a few weeks – in the middle of the stressful pre-Christmas period – the sample motors were produced and ready for dispatch.
