Innomotics, the premium manufacturer of IEC electric motors, distributes motors via local partners. They keep motors and spare parts in stock, take on complicated designs for customers and offer after-sales service. The annual “Innomotics Academy” maintains and improves their performance and honors role models.
Transfer of know-how
MOLL-MOTOR has 26 years of product experience, which was cultivated even before the motor division of Siemens, with its 15,000 employees and headquarters in Nuremberg, became independent as “Innomotics”. We are expanding our many years of knowledge by participating in the Innomotics Academy, where we were represented this year by our sales engineers Lucas Frischherz and Martin Sickha.
The training topics covered a wide range of subjects. Here are three examples in which the participants received in-depth detailed knowledge:
- Crane motors, in line with a current major project in which MOLL-MOTOR is involved
- Gearboxes with size-reduced IEC mounting flanges for compact IE5 PM motors, in line with MOLL-MOTOR’s gearbox expertise
- High-torque motors with rated speeds of just 200-800 rpm, with which gearboxes can be completely eliminated
Knowledge transfer also takes place in the other direction, with our employees providing input for updating the configurator tools and database systems. Partners like MOLL-MOTOR have full access to technical data from Innomotics to efficiently support customers in drive design. Our response time can be further increased if the most relevant data is particularly easy to retrieve.
Award for MOLL-MOTOR
It has become a nice tradition for partners to receive awards for special achievements. This year, MOLL-MOTOR received the “Outstanding Collaboration Award” from Innomotics for a project on flameproof ATEX special motors for operation with frequency inverters on the 690V grid. Martin Sickha accepted the award in the capital of the Czech Republic. On his return to Austria he passed it on to DI (FH) Mario Schießling and Johannes Prechelmacher, who were in charge of developing the award-winning project with engineer Patrick Schießling and selling it to the customer. Mario Schießling is the frequency inverter expert at MOLL-MOTOR and regularly works on technically demanding automation projects.
The cultural framework of the event, which took place in Prague from May 5 to May 7, 2025, was provided by an appealing historical city tour. The event concluded with a lively get-together in a historic vaulted cellar, where experiences and anecdotes were exchanged and personal contacts deepened.
