MOLL-MOTOR is a proud partner of SIEMENS, the giant of the electrical industry. The SIEMENS founder Werner von Siemens himself, as well as several companies founded by him, were pioneers of electrification in Central Europe. In the company’s history, which goes back to 1847, Siemens has developed many business areas, some of which it has sold or spun off into its own companies. Its logo can be found on large household appliances, telephones, trains, traffic lights and magnetic resonance tomographs.

The production of electric motors for industry and commerce was historically an important business area and remains so today. As a large corporation, SIEMENS’ strengths lie in design, production and documentation. To focus on these strengths and streamline the organization, the philosophy of working with partners to provide better services to customers took hold in the second half of the 1990s.

In the field of electric motors, the choice quickly fell on MOLL-MOTOR, as we had and still have a lot of experience both in supplying new customers and in repairs. Especially our flexibility, strengthened by our willingness to stock SIEMENS products, convinced our business partners from the beginning. In 1999 a first contract was signed between our companies, in 2007 the partnership was raised to a new level with the “Siemens Solution Partner Automation” contract. Since then, the cooperation has been regularly intensified, most recently SIEMENS also entrusted us with the distribution of their low-voltage motors in Serbia, Montenegro and Northern Macedonia.
The distribution of MOLL-MOTOR is less focused on individual products, but rather on selling customers solutions to their drive problems. In doing so, we are very happy to rely on SIEMENS components, but not exclusively. When the situation requires it, we combine them flexibly with products from other manufacturers, and in this way we can win projects where SIEMENS would have been less competitive on its own. A good example of this is a major project for a ship loader in the Baltic States. We were able to win this jointly by combining and assembling SIEMENS motors and SIEMENS gearboxes with an encapsulated electromagnetic brake from an Italian manufacturer in order to meet the special environmental conditions at the installation site while offering good value for money.
Despite exciting international collaborations, our focus in working with SIEMENS remains predominantly on Austria, where we supply SIEMENS motors, gearboxes, frequency converters and in-house manufactured control cabinets with numerous SIEMENS components to mechanical engineering customers, maintenance-intensive large-scale operations and maintenance providers. Austria is also preferred because we have many products available daily at our stock in Stockerau, and SIEMENS servo motors can be serviced and repaired on our test bench within a few hours.

The long lasting good cooperation with SIEMENS has created strong bonds and sustainable friendships between our companies, therefore we are looking forward to a further long lasting cooperation with confidence.
