News
- Quick help for missing geared motorsAn Upper Austrian manufacturer of plastic parts was faced with a problem: the new machine he had ordered months ago was almost ready, but two important geared motors were missing. The machine manufacturer’s upstream supplier was unable to deliver on time and the end user’s production start was on the brink.
- Insights into working life – electrical engineering students visited usLast week, we welcomed a group of students from the HTL Hollabrunn, specializing in electrical engineering, to MOLL-MOTOR in Stockerau. In addition to exciting projects from the world of mechatronic drive technology, the young people got an impression of how we work: with a lot of personal responsibility, room for their own ideas and short decision-making processes.
- High-tech also needs “simple” drivesIn a world where automation, digitalization and AI are finding their way into almost every industry, one thing is often overlooked: Behind many of these high-tech systems, robust, tried-and-tested technology is still at work. Drive technology in particular demonstrates the wide range between highly complex processes and the often astonishingly simple components that make them possible.
- 30-year durability: increasing efficiency as a top management issueThe service life of electric drive motors is usually estimated at 12 to 20 years. However, large-scale studies in Europe and the USA show a different picture: many three-phase motors are still in use even after 30 years. MOLL-MOTOR also regularly receives replacement requests for motors that were delivered in the 1990s or early 2000s. Although many outdated drives still run extremely reliably, they waste valuable energy.
