The Vienna Elite League East is a regional ice hockey league that includes teams from Vienna and the surrounding area. It offers a valuable opportunity for talented players to develop and use their skills in high-level competitions. The league thus contributes significantly to the promotion of ice hockey in the region and forms an important basis for the career development of players.
After the basic round and the playoffs, the final of the league between Stock City Oilers and Union EC Wien was decided in a best of 5 final series. After a bitter defeat in the first game of the series, the Stockerau team was able to fight their way to three victories in the following games and triumphantly defend their championship title in the Vienna Steffl Arena.
